Welcome!

Hello! My name is Robert Mishou and this is the beginning of my 29th year teaching English at Kearney High School (31st year overall).  I am from a military family and have lived in several places including New Jersey, New York, and Texas.  I spent my middle school and high school years in Frankfurt, Germany where I graduated in 1987.  I then became an English Education major at UNK where I graduated in 1992.  After student teaching at KHS, I spent two years teaching at Wilcox then I was lucky enough to start teaching at KHS in 1994. I am married to Sylvia Mishou who teaches German and Spanish at KHS and I have three (almost four) children who are KHS graduates - Nate, class of 2012, Austin, class of 2016, Alexis, class of 2019, Madison, class of 2022.   I have taught nearly every class here at KHS but presently teach English IV, and AP Language and Composition. - all syllabi can be accessed through the course Canvas page.
