Hello! Welcome to Project SEARCH, a transitional program for students age 18-21, focusing on job skills training with the end goal attaining full time, competitive employment within the community. The Project SEARCH attendance site is CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital. Students attend from 8:00am until 2:00pm, interning (unpaid) in 3-4 worksites throughout the school year. The Project SEARCH Program follows the Kearney High School schedule. Any changes to this is announced in advance.
My name is Kerry Marlatt. I have many years of experience working with academic and behaviorally challenged students. I began teaching in 1980, retiring to substitute in 2012 but returning to work with Project SEARCH in 2018. My educational credentials include: Bachelor of Special Education/Mild-Moderate K12, Masters of Special Education/Learning Disabilities K12, and Masters of Special Education/Gifted K12.
