Grade Level Information



Be Ready Buffalo County (BRBC) is a job readiness program for students-by-students, directed toward Buffalo County High School Juniors and Seniors. BRBC will consist of up to four panel discussions, highlighting Buffalo County area employers. Each panel will have a mix of peer-aged employees from different businesses. Each participating school will receive $25 per student who attends, up to a total of $500, from the Economic Development Council of Buffalo County for skilled and technical programs. The program is a partnership with the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce and the Kearney Visitors Bureau.   


BRBC will be held on Tuesday, April 13th from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Younes Conference Center in Kearney. Registration will begin at 5:00 pm.


Come hear from your peers on how to be successful at a job, and valuable skills that are needed to perform in a work environment!


Students who attend will receive:

  • A free meal!

Goals and Objectives:

  • Prepare students for what is expected at a job.
  • Provide students with skills to be successful in the workforce.
  • Introduce students to area employers.
  • Expose students to area careers.
