Central Elementary Teaching Field Experience

Field experiences are quick trips into the working world. You’ll visit businesses, see how different jobs really work, and connect what you’re learning in school to life outside the classroom.

"Theis field experience let me see what actually happens in the classroom. I worked with a number of grade levels so I could see their educational development.  It was fun developing student/teacher relationships ." – Sadie Luke, KHS Student

Sadie Luke, a KHS senior, has always wanted to be a teacher.  In her field experience, she had the opportunity to learn classroom teaching techniques first hand at Central Elementary which cemented her decision.

Hosting students for field experiences showcases the industry to future workers. It helps build awareness about career paths and gives businesses the chance to promote their workplace culture.

"Hosting students for field experiences gives them a firsthand look at education and sparks their interest in teaching. It’s rewarding to see their excitement and answer their questions." – Troy Saulsbury, 4th Grade Teacher, Central Elementary
