Kearney High Football organizational Meeting

There will be a organizational meeting for anyone interested in playing football next year. The meetings will take place in the health classroom M203 before school at 7:10 a.m. Current Juniors will meet Wednesday March 11th Current Sophomores will meet Thursday March 12th Current Freshman will meet Tuesday March 17th Contact Coach Peters if you can not make it or if you have any questions

Key Club March Meeting

Key club will be meeting on Thursday this week instead of Tuesday. We will be getting a tour of FAN to learn more about how they help our community. We will meet at their office at 507 E 26th St on Thursday, 3/12, at 6:30. See the Remind message for items they need if you would like to donate.

Bearcat Cares Craft and Vendor Show

Saturday, March 21st we will be hosting our fourth annual Bearcat Cares Craft and Vendor Show with over 90 vendors, food trucks, lemonade and coffee trucks, a silent auction, photos with the Easter Bunny, and the KHS Band Pancake Feed. Booths will be set up in both gyms. Parking for the event is in the west parking lot. Proceeds from this event will supply clothing, hygiene products, food bags, and other counseling/social work necessities to support students and families throughout the year. Entry to the event is free but we will accept “kid friendly” and “ready to eat” donations of meals and snacks to help us complete weekly food bags for students.

Position Volleyball Camp

Date & Time: Wednesday Jul 8, 2026 @ 9:00 AM CDT Event Description: The Position Volleyball Camp is for athletes going into grades 9-12 for the 2026-27 school year and will feature positional training for all levels and advanced skill work. This is a great way to up and showcase your skills! Camp will be led by Shay Conner of Washburn University who will be joined by KHS coaches. When: Wed-Thurs, July 8-9th @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Where: Kearney High School 2702 W 11th St Kearney, NE 68845 Please bring a water bottle and knee pads. Enter through doors 1 (Big K), 27 (west cafeteria) or 16 (SW activities entrance) and join us in the main gymnasium. **ATHLETES SHOULD BRING SACK LUNCH**

BEARCAT CORNER

The KHS Bearcat Corner online store is officially taking orders. Deliveries will begin Thursday, August 14. Below is some information for customers to keep in mind. Thanks for your business and have an excellent school year!!

1. The store contact is Mrs. Rebecca Larson at KHS - reblarson@kearneycats.com

2. KHS students and KPS staff are eligible for in-school and inter-school deliveries.

3. Community members will pick up orders from the KHS Big K office.

4. Only unworn merchandise with tags can be returned/exchanged.

5. Orders can be delivered and/or picked up Monday - Friday between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

6. KHS students and staff are eligible for a 25% discount IN STORE ONLY. This discount is not available via the online store.

SW ORANGE ZONE PARKING REGULATIONS

Attention Students: Any KHS or UNK student parked in the Orange Zone (designated for Coaches, Sponsors, and Event Personnel) just west of Door 17 on both sides of the two light poles with posted orange parking signs will be ticketed $20.00 per offense. A valid parking credential from the Activities Office is also required.

Safe Teen Driver Scholarship

The 2026 Safe Teen Driver Scholarship application and information are available in the KHS Counseling Office. This scholarship covers a portion of driver education course fees. The deadline is April 1st.
