Students new to Kearney Public Schools

• New 9-12 grade students should register at Kearney High School in the Guidance Office at 2702 West 11th Street.  Monday - Friday  8 am - 3:30 pm  New students can begin the registration process online using the following link Online Registration. 
   

If you have student currently rolled at KPS

• If you currently have a student enrolled in Kearney Public Schools you can use the Parent Portal to register your child.

To enroll at Kearney High School please complete the Online Registration, Release of Student Records and the KPS Home Language Survey(forms linked below) and email them to emiparker@kearneycats.com . A parent or legal guardian must sign all registration forms. The release will be sent to your child’s previous school to obtain official records. These include:

• A copy of your child's birth certificate
• Immunization records
• Official transcript
• Report card for incoming 9th graders
• Most recent IEP (If applicable)
   

School Records Required

If the school is unable to provide a copy of your child's birth certificate or a copy of their immunization records, the parent/legal guardian may submit these. All other documents MUST come officially from the school. Once the counseling office has received all necessary records, we will contact a parent/guardian to set up an enrollment appointment.

Proof of Residency Required

Kearney Public Schools requires proof of residency (POR) in order to enroll. This can be a piece of mail from a company, rental/lease agreement or driver’s license; it cannot be a handwritten letter.
