Dear Kearney High School Parents,
We wanted to inform you that the ACT website is experiencing technical difficulties nationwide today, with the exception of a few locations. The Hanny Arram Center for Success is one of those exceptions and the ACT testing is operating normally.
Due to this issue, Kearney High School will be dismissing students at 11:00 AM today. Individual transportation for special education students that was previously scheduled will run accordingly to accommodate this early release. No other student transportation will be provided. Extracurricular activities and practices will commence at their regularly scheduled times.
Please note that the ACT for KHS sophomores and juniors will be rescheduled for Wednesday, April 16, 2025. On that day, freshmen and seniors will not have school. Any students who started their assessment will have this assessment removed with a new assessment available next week.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, in making this decision, it is paramount for our students to have the best opportunity to achieve their greatest score possible. With this extended delay, we do not feel this gives our students that opportunity. We want to assure you that we are working closely with the ACT at both the state and national level to ensure a successful testing day next week.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Sincerely,
Kearney High School Administration
