UNIFORMS
PERSONAL APPREARANCE:
- Cadets will present a professional image and conduct themselves in a professional manner when wearing the JROTC Uniform.
- The JROTC program seeks to instill pride and self-discipline in young people, and teach them how to do so through a conservative military image.
- Cadets may wear religious apparel, articles, or jewelry with the uniform.
- Hijabs, turbans, and yarmulkes are authorized to wear when in uniform.
- Skirts are available as a religious accommodation for female Cadets.
- Male Cadets will be requested to have a shaved face when in uniform.
- All Cadets will be requested to remove or cover facial piercings when in uniform.
- No Cadet will be required to cut or change their hairstyle for participation in the JROTC Program.
- Males cadets with long hair will be held to female hair grooming requirements.
- Cadets compliance and adherence to normal military grooming standards are not mandatory, but encouraged.
