Welcome to 9-12 English Learners

Hello, my name is Mrs. Childress and I am excited to start a new year!  Here is a little information about me.

 

I come from a very small town about 30 miles north of Kearney.  I lived there until I came to Kearney to attend UNK.  I graduated from UNK with a Bachelor's Degree in 2002.

 

I started my teaching career in Grand Island where I taught 3rd grade and English Language Learners for 10 years.  I have been teaching English Language Learners at Kearney High School since 2015 and can't wait for this year to start!

 

When not at school, I love spending time with my husband and our two sons.  We enjoy being outside and playing sports together.
