Mrs. Prososki's Welcome Page
Teaching is an absolute passion of mine. I am so excited to be at Kearney High. I have taught science for 5 years in smaller school districts. I started in August 2020 here at Kearney High. I cannot wait to see what new adventures await us this school year!

Where did I grow up?
I grew up in Blue Hill, NE. I attended Blue Hill Community School from kindergarten through senior year. While a high school student, I participated in band, choir, speech, one act, cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, and track.
Where did I go to college?
I attended Doane University from 2010 to 2014. After I graduated, with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science and a secondary endorsement, I continued with my Masters of Arts in Education and graduated in 2017.
While at Doane, I played varsity basketball and participated in concert and marching band, playing the tuba, all 4 years.
I am currently working on my principalship endorsement through University of Nebraska Kearney.
Why did I become a teacher?
I was born with a cleft lip and cleft palate. As a second grader, my dream was to become a plastic surgeon to make a difference in a child's life, like mine did for me. As I aged, my plans changed. I wanted to be able to help children love who they are on the inside, not for what they look like on the outside. Being a teacher helps me show students to love themselves no matter what life throws at them.
"Today you are YOU, that is truer than true. There is NO ONE alive that is YOUER than YOU!"~Dr. Seuss
Where did I teach before?
I worked as a 7-12 Science teacher at Silver Lake Community Schools from 2015 to 2017. Prior to getting this job I student taught there in the fall of 2014 and in the spring of 2015 I was a long term sub for band and choir. During my 2 years of teaching I coached junior high girls volleyball, basketball, and track 2015 - 2016. I was assistant girls basketball 2014 - 2016 and head girls basketball coach 2016 - 2017.
In 2017, I accepted a 9-12 Science position in Axtell. There, I was the head girls basketball coach from 2017-2020, coached junior high girls basketball from 2018-2020, and was assistant girls track from 2018-2019.
Who am I?
I am married to my wonderful husband, Andrew, since June 2019. We live in Kearney, in a beautiful home with two dogs, Penni, a Brittany Spaniel, & Roxie, a Bernedoodle, and our precious son, River, who was born March 12, 2021.
I enjoy cooking, baking, playing sports, crafts, and spending time with family. If there is any free time in my busy life, I love to be outdoors, running or walking with my husband, son, and pups.
