Welcome to KHS Science - King
I absolutely love that moment when a student start puzzling the pieces together and the look of "hmmm, that's interesting".
I am a Wyoming native who transplanted to Nebraska in 2008 when I started teaching. I moved to Kearney in 2023 with my daughter and we are excited to be here!
I earned a degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Wyoming (Go Pokes!) in 2004, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University - Bozeman in 2010, and I am currently working on my Education Specialist degree in Science Education Leadership from UNL as part of the NOYCE Master Teacher Fellowship program.
I have been a member of the Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science since 2012 and have served on the board as Treasurer and President. Throughout my career I have helped write the 2017 Nebraska College and Career Ready Standards for Science, lead professional development sessions at the local, state, and regional level as well as representing Nebraska at the National Congress on Science Education.
