Hi! Welcome to my classroom page! My name is Ashley Bush and I teach Intro to Business, Intro to Personal Finance, and Marketing 1. I have been teaching teaching at Kearney High School since 2019. Prior to moving to Kearney, I taught in 4 different school districts.

Course Descriptions:

Explore the world of business! This class provides an opportunity for students to learn about the various aspects of the business world. Content includes: The economic environment, business operations, business in the global economy, business management, and marketing.

 

Intro to Finance

Grade Level: 9,10 ; Course Credit: 5 ; Prerequisite: None

This class is meant to introduce students to basic personal money management skills. Students will explore topics such as banking, budgets, savings, investing, taxes, payroll, careers, and financial planning.

 

Marketing 1

Grade Level: 9,10,11,12 ; Course Credit: 10 ; Prerequisite: None

Marketing focuses on the study of the channels of distribution, buying, pricing, and selling merchandise at the retail level. It is designed for a student interested in the sales management and marketing areas of the business world. Career planning, as well as entrepreneurship, is emphasized. DECA, the marketing career student organization which is open to all students enrolled in a marketing class, is also an important element of the program.
