Journalism I
This course introduces students to the world of news and mass communications. Major emphasis is placed on press history, the print process, copyediting, television, radio, and ethics. Students will learn about yellow journalism, major high school court cases, characteristics of news, and how to conduct an interview. Students wishing to work on the high school yearbook (LOG) or high school newspaper (ECHO) must complete this course.
